PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MALPRACTICE POLICY

The Editorial Board of PAJIS is guided in its activities by the principles of science, objectivity, professionalism, impartiality and opposes any forms of unethical behavior and plagiarism. The journal follows ethical norms and international standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and enshrined in the code adopted by it (http://publicationethics.org). We are also committed to the rules set out in the Declaration of the Association of Science Editors and Publishers "Ethical Principles for Scientific Publications" (http://expert-rasep.ru/sovet-po-etike/deklaratsiya).

All parties involved in the preparation of materials for publication in the journal, namely: authors, reviewers, members of the editorial board, must follow the principles of publication ethics listed below.

BASIC PRINCIPLES FOR AUTHORS

1. The authors warrant that the work they submit is original. Any use of materials and ideas of other authors should properly acknowledged, cited or quoted. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Plagiarism detection automatically results in a refusal to publish.

2. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the writing of the work, to the development of its concept, preparation of illustrations, collection of material, analysis and interpretation.

3. The consent of all authors for publication is mandatory.

4. Authors are obliged to inform the editors if the article submitted by them for consideration or its modified version is in parallel also under consideration in other publications or has already been published earlier (including in other languages).

5. In works of a polemical nature, containing criticism of colleagues, it is necessary to observe the norms of academic ethics and scientific correctness. Otherwise, the editorial board reserves the right to reject the material.

BASIC PRINCIPLES FOR THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF AND MEMBERS OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD

1. The Editor and Members of the Editorial Board have no right to disclose information about the submitted manuscript to anyone except its author and reviewers. Unpublished materials cannot be used by the Editorial Board members, Editors or Reviewers for personal or any other purposes. The Editors strictly adhere to the rule of anonymity of Reviewers.

2. The main criteria for evaluating articles submitted for consideration by the Editorial Board and for making a decision on their acceptance or rejection are their compliance with the subject of the Journal, scientific value, originality, clarity of presentation and compliance with the requirements of scientific ethics. The selection process for publication in PAJIS is not influenced by any political, ethnic, racial, gender, commercial or other external factors.

3. The final text of the article must be agreed with the Author. The publication of an article under the Author's name implies the occurrence of copyright. The publication of a text not agreed with the Author, as well as the introduction of unauthorized persons into the number of co-authors, is a violation of copyright and therefore is unacceptable.

4. If necessary, the Authors of published articles and reviews, as well as the Authors of reviewed books, are given the opportunity to respond to criticism and other claims on the pages of the journal.

BASIC PRINCIPLES FOR REVIEWERS

1. Materials submitted for review must be evaluated objectively and in a timely manner.

2. Reviewers are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the materials they are considering, strictly observing the Author's right not to disclose the information contained in the article until its publication.

3. In the event of a conflict of interests, the Reviewer must notify the Editor. If it is impossible to overcome the conflict, the Reviewer refuses to review.
